RB Legal Counsel offers local entrepreneurs and small businesses a one-stop shop for their legal needs. Through our services we help our clients to develop their values, manage risk, and make smart and appropriate choices as they get established and grow.

This makes us a great match for Reading’s entrepreneurial community.  By working local businesses in their language of choice (English or Spanish), clients do not have to worry about language barriers and can be confident that they are getting the access to expert legal advice that they need to establish and run their business.

RB Legal Counsel got its official start during the fall of 2011. RB Legal Counsel objective is to offer local entrepreneurs and small businesses a one-stop shop for their legal needs. In February of 2012 it established its office at the Jump Start Incubator facility, located in the third floor of the Berks County Community Foundation.    Moving into the Jump Start Incubator was a great fit for RB Legal Counsel. Working out of the brand-new facilities has the firm in the heart of Reading close to its clients.

About The Founder

Marilu Rodríguez-Bauer, Esq.

Founded RB Legal Counsel LLC in the fall of 2011.   Prior to starting her own law firm, Ms. Rodríguez spent more than a decade in legal practice. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico, School of Law in 1997. She worked in her native Puerto Rico as an attorney until 2000, when she enrolled in the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire (now known as UHN School of Law). There she completed her Masters degree (LLM) in Intellectual Property Law.  She has held a number of high-profile jobs in the Greater Washington D.C. and Greater Philadelphia areas. From 2006 through 2010 she worked for  in Reading as In-House Corporate Counsel, Pennsylvania as a Contract. Ms.Rodríguez has a passion for helping her fellow entrepreneurs in the City of Reading to grow their businesses, develop their values, manage risk, and understand their legal obligations.
